Review for National Center For Public Policy Research Inc, Washington, DC, USA

The National Center for Public Policy Research has several "projects" such as The National Retirement Security Task Force, etc.

These projects simply acquire the names of older people and mail them requests for donations. These requests are sent with letters intended to scare the recipient into donating. Often these requests are sent via Certified Mail in the hope that the recipient will think the contents more important.

My elderly mother-in-law is receiving about 10 mailings a day from various non-profits of this type. She wrote some a check and thus elevated her status to "donor" and she was added to a mailing list that is sold to other
non-profits. The list for the NCPPR is shown here:

Scaring donations out of the elderly.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Shut them down but they are just one of several hundred such non-profits so it is pointless.

Role:  General Member of the Public & I spend my day opening scare mail from The National Center for Public Policy Research.
