We are so glad to have this opportunity to write about the Employment Training and Engagement Program that our daughter is participating in through Community Programs of WJCS. She is learning, growing and experiencing so much and we truly feel that it is pivotal in her life at this time.

Our daughter is so happy to be a part of the program. She loved her community volunteering and her volunteer internships so much and each one was both meaningful and a growth opportunity for her. Candace, who has gotten to know her so well and is phenomenal at everything she does, matched her with placements that resonated and that she was so enthusiastic about. She is so glad to be in the Job Readiness/Supported Employment Skills Training Program, as she is looking forward to starting her employment opportunity. She is also looking forward to gaining personal fulfillment and her place in the community. Every week she looks forward to learning individually as well as together with her great friends in her employment group, as they support each other so beautifully to achieve each of their goals.

Our daughter also looks forward to her WJCS Care Call Buddy Zoom calls, all of the fun of the WJCS Garden Club and the WJCS Best Buddies group! She loved receiving vegetables from the garden and helping to prepare and cook them for dinner! Candace and Renee are extraordinary people and have boundless patience, understanding and the most incredible abilities that make all of this happen. We appreciate all of the work, effort, caring, dedication, professionalism and expertise that go into making it the exceptional program that it is. When Covid-19 became our reality, we were beyond amazed at how quickly they created and initiated an incredible array of virtual classes and activities on Zoom! It has been remarkable and our daughter has benefited so much from the continuity and by being able to see and interact with her friends online during this time.

We can't say enough about the employment skills training and volunteer opportunities our daughter gets to experience in Community Programs of WJCS. It means so much to our daughter and to us. We are thankful and so greatly appreciative for all that is available to our daughter and others supported by the program.
