Andrea Maki is one of the most dedicated wild horse advocates I’ve met in my 5 years working professionally in this field. Her accomplishments speak for themselves - setting up a successful wildlife preserve, securing a permanent home for her Idaho mustangs, fostering collaboration amongst stakeholders who, throughout the West, are resistant at best and at each other’s throats at worst! And we can’t forget her successful fertility control program which means that wild horses in Idaho can stay in their wild homes.

I recently had the opportunity to work personally with Andrea on a rescue effort and despite the enormous stress we were both under, she handled it all with grace. There are few people who act with as much integrity, always putting the well being of the animals in their care first. I speak with experience and discernment when I say I wholeheartedly love and support this organization.
