Review for Ecumenical Hunger Program, East Palo Alto, CA, USA
Ecumenical Hunger Program has helped my family tremendously. Three years ago me and my family were homeless due to rent increase. We were living in our vehicles for about 6 months to a year. We were ashamed to tell our families that we were all living in our vehicles (12 total). One thing our family did not have to worry about was food. EHP has been very supported not only to my family but to others. Ms. Nevida was the 1st person who knew that my family and I were homeless I broke down and cried because I was at my weakest moment. Ms. Nevida was not only someone who just gave away furniture she was a great listener with a HUGE HEART! Ecumenical Hunger Program has helped my family get through the hard times with providing food. My first time volunteering at Ecumenical Hunger Program was last year Dec. around Christmas time. I never really realized that there are a lot of other families out there that has it worst. Just the simple things like hello, how are you, can change someone's day from negative to positive. Especially, when you feel like you are alone. EHP has helped me personally to be a better mother & Strong Independent women especially to my 6 year old baby girl. Ecumenical Hunger Program you Rock!!
