I am writing this blog on behalf of Rahul. Rahul is a Grade 11 student at SRKM High School, W.B, India. I am an alumnus of the same school.

Situation: - Rahul is a brilliant student in Grade 11 in SRKM High School, West Bengal, India. He is the captain of the school soccer team, and his dream was to play for the Indian national soccer team. Suddenly, everything is over. He lost his two legs in a ruthless road accident. He was standing on the roadside, waiting for a bus when a big truck hit him. Fortunately, he survived. But unfortunately, both his legs had to be amputated. To be able to walk again, he needs prosthetic limbs. The cost is about 5 lakh Indian rupees (about USD 8000). He and his parents are not able to afford the cost.

Best Runners Team’s involvement- Sundar, my friend is a very active member of the Best Runners team. He introduced me to the BR Team to help Rahul. Best Runners is a very well organized, transparent, and process-oriented organization. Sundar had uploaded all required documents to the BR portal. They had done a few internal meetings to discuss the possibility of funding the case. They had updated me from time to time about the progress and finally, the fund was approved by the Best Runners Management team and transferred the money to Rahul.

Here are a few words from Rahul with tears of joy – “It was my dream after a heartbreaking accident if I can walk again. It is impossible without the BR team’s help and you helped me to fulfill my dream. Still, I cannot believe that I can walk now. I cannot play soccer for my school again, but I am focusing on my study to move ahead in life. THANK YOU, BEST RUNNERS TEAM, FOR YOUR SUPPORT.”
