This year amidst several other milestones we celebrated my son's 5th year of sobriety. Without his sobriety, nothing else would have been possible. He continues to be supported by the Beacon House, through friendships, mentors and the many men that have gone before him. This unique program has given him the guidance and support that he needed to make a meaningful and happy life for himself. We are very grateful.

The long term effect of our son's addiction created obstacles that at times, seemed insurmountable. How do you get a job with huge gaps in your employment and a criminal record, how do you find a place to live with debt and bad credit, how do you rebuild relationships after years of lies, how do you look at yourself in the mirror after saying or doing things that you never thought that you would? After a certain amount of time 30 or 90 days of sobriety is a tiny portion of trying to rebuild your life. Beacon House gives men that sober time, but, oh so much more! Life skills, support, a financial plan, an education, job skills, counseling, no one is turned away at no cost. We are so grateful to have our son in our lives again. I am so grateful to the Beacon House and the men that make it such an amazing place.
