It has been a fantastic 5 years! It was 5 years ago this week that we adopted our sweet boy Austin from German Shepherd Safe Haven. Austin was 3 when he became available for adoption.

One of the hallmarks of this organization is that they will not adopt out these marvelous animals just to move them out of the shelter. GSSH will match the personalities and character of the adopting family to the personality and character of the dog. So what is likely to result is not just a home, but a FOREVER home. Tom Williamson knew that I was a home-based software engineer with little free time on my hands during busy work hours. Tom also knew that Austin was a very chill but affectionate dog that didn't require constant attention and exercise. Combining our personalities, he knew that it would work out perfectly. And he was right.

Tom and his dedicated cadre of volunteers do a wonderful job with these animals. I am so thankful for their dedication, hard work, and philosophy that makes the long-term well-being of their German Shepherd dogs their top priority. Please do not hesitate to donate to this worthy organization.
