I learned of One Day's Wages through my best friend who was interning there. She loved her work and it made me want to know more. As her internship/ volunteer experience was coming to a close that they were searching for new volunteers. Interviewing with ODW and getting the job was such an incredible experience. It has been really cool working for a grassroots organization where I know the work I am doing is going towards such a good cause. I have had a lot of fun curating auction items and working with donors as well and seeing my work pay off was really rewarding. It has also been a unique experience because I have gotten such wonderful mentorship from full time employees, such as Jessinia, who always challenge and support me. Donors can have full confidence that their money is going towards making real change.
