Review for Empowerment International, Albuquerque, NM, USA
Since I arrived at Empowerment International, I felt It was a different Non-Profit. The entire team knew by name, family, address, and sometimes physical signals each one of our beneficiaries. Hugs and drawings to their special person of the team were always present at the Education Center. In March, we had to restrict physical visits and, we stopped our tutoring program. Things were not the same, we missed so much our children, their laughs, and jokes. At the beginning of the pandemic, I had just two months of being at EI, It was until we started food deliveries, I had the chance to meet the parents and speak with them and know about their life and suffering during these hard times. I felt part of their life because, in the end, we all were part of the team to overcome the crisis and get ahead. In the end, Working at EI has been a beautiful process that taught about faith and willingness to move forward from difficult times. Our beneficiaries and team just focused on what they can do and pray for the best result. So, the COVID-19 crisis showed us the huge commitment we had with our families and the deep affection that joins us with our communities. Thanks for supporting Empowerment International!
