Meals on Wheels of Mercer County (MOWMC) has continued to provide nutritious meals to its participants throughout the pandemic. It has kept its employees, volunteers and clients safe while serving meals to community members who are homebound. MOWMC began a weekly check in by phone with all of its participants, with volunteers eagerly filling that role - particularly those who decided to step back from physical meal delivery for their own health reasons. They tried to pair volunteers with participants whom they already had an established relationship with prior to the pandemic. The participants loved hearing from their friends who previously delivered them their meals. I cannot say enough good things about this organization and I am so happy to be serving on its Board.

I have been on the Board of Meals on Wheels of Mercer County (MOWMC) for over twenty years. I have seen this organization go from treating the city of Trenton to the county of Mercer. The staff and volunteers of MOWMC are dedicated to ensure nutritious meals are served to the participants in the program. I am very proud of the work of this organization and will continue to support this organization in any way I can.
