The many sterling reviews that IJ has received over many years do a good job of describing its good work and how it helps people in need. However, I would emphasize that it is not just IJ's clients who are helped by its work. IJ is not just some lawyers working pro bono to stand up for the rights of people that could not otherwise afford to defend their rights. Rather, every case is part of a grand strategy to change a fundamental wrong for the benefit of all freedom-loving citizens. Having been IJ donors for many years, my wife and I have watched as IJ has carefully picked clients and cases that build on one another, often over many years and in many courts, to eventually establish an important right or correct a clear wrong. And, while carefully choosing, planning and prosecuting its cases, it carries on masterful media campaigns to bring attention to how government has wronged its always sympathetic clients and to raise awareness of the injustice being done not only to its particular client but to many others in a similar situation. Then, with the head of steam built with victories in many courts and reports in many media, it is off to the legislatures to once and for all fix the problem. Of the many organizations we support to defend and protect our fundamental freedoms, IJ is the one shows us the most concrete results year after year.
