I have been a donor to the Institute for Justice for many years. They have never let me down or strayed from their mission statement. They have maintained a top ranking by Charity Navigator for many years which is a testament to management. I believe that their litigators would earn more money in private practice but feel “called to serve”. I have met a few members of the general staff, all of whom impressed me with their knowledge and dedication. Even when the team “loses” (as in Kelo v. New London - The Little Pink House), the team utilizes an effective public relation campaign (which in this case led to overwhelming changes at the State level). The length of time that they have been doing good work within their long-term core principals made it an easy decision for me to include IJ in my estate plans.
