Review for Indraloka Animal Sanctuary, Mehoopany, PA, USA
Indra Lahiri has created an animal sanctuary in the farming community of Mehoopany, PA. When I went through a divorce I needed to find a home for two "unadoptable" horses. She took them in and 2 1/2 years later they are thriving in the place where unadoptable animals have a "forever home."
Indraloka is home to pot belly pigs, cattle, chickens, goats, dogs and many cats.
I have just adopted my second cat from Indraloka. Valentino joins Rex, the beautiful Maine Coon kitty I adopted in 2008. They are little brothers to my old girl, Niki, who is 13.

Indra helped me so I wouldn't have to put down two very sweet, but unridable horses.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
They are mellow and very caring. Many volunteers help take care of the animals. A recent call for donations to spay and neuter many feral kittens raised the needed amount in a short period of time.
