Baker Industries continues to epitomize the saying, Do Good. Adults with disabilities, adults on parole or probation, adults who struggle with substance use disorder and adults who have housing insecurity are given a chance to work. They are no longer waiting on the sidelines to be seen and to contribute to our society. Participants get to learn new skills and improve their self confidence while earning an hourly wage in a supportive atmosphere. Many go on to solid jobs in our community. We are grateful to our wonderful customers/businesses that make this possible, by giving our participants real work in the areas of assembly, mailing, fulfillment and packaging.

Every person has value and has something to contribute to our community. Baker Industries lives and breathes this mantra by employing individuals that many have written off or simply forgotten. I have personally witnessed the glow of pride and happiness on Baker’s participant’s faces from working at Baker Industries. Many participants will use the incredible opportunity and training that Baker provides as a launching pad to better jobs and brighter futures - that they didn’t have in their horizons before coming to Baker. And, employers who partner with Baker get their projects/work completed on time and cost effectively. It’s a win-win.

Baker Industries Is a unique workforce development program that helps people who are on the side lines of our community. Baker employs these individuals with disabilities, criminal records, substance use disorders and housing instability at two locations in the Philadelphia area. Employees receive a regular hourly wage and gain skills and confidence. Many move on to great jobs at local businesses!
