I discovered Gay for Good and their inspiring work in my local community at the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic. And after months of quarantine I was more than happy to have the opportunity to leave my home and safely volunteer with this amazing NPO. The experience was overwhelming for me: to be gifted the opportunity to help provide boxes of food to needy families during these uncertain times uplifted me in a way that I never expected. I felt like I was truly helping to make a difference in someone’s life, I felt appreciated in a way that I didn’t realize I personally needed, and I made some incredible new friends who inspire me constantly with their selflessness. As a lifelong ally to the LBGTQ community I am overjoyed to be a volunteer with Gay for Good and I look forward to giving back to my community with them in the very near future.
