My daughter Shayanne is a recipient of the scholarship program to attend karate classes with her typical peers. Her time in this class has provided her with so many opportunities. She has gone to competitions. She has developed discipline, it has increased her confidence and physical well being. But the most important thing to come out of this interaction is that she learns how to function in the typical world and all the kids in her classes learn that she is more like them then different
