My Nonprofit Reviews

My class really enjoyed their Canopy lesson with Ms. Vanessa Wyns. They are all interested in science and they loved drawing the parts of the tree. My students were all excited to share their drawings. At some point in the lesson, Ms. Wyns asked my student, Ximena a question and I told her that she did not understood or speak English. Upon hearing this, Ms. Wyns immediately went into Spanish and since I do not speak Spanish, it almost brought me to tears. Ximena was so delighted to understand the instruction and to fully engage in the activity just like the other kids. My students loved learning about trees and were anxious to share what they knew about trees and were also anxious to show off their drawings. I have invited Ms. Wyns to come back to visit our class and do another project. The kids are still talking about her and I know that they will be excited do another lesson/activity with her!
