My Nonprofit Reviews

This will be my forth season volunteering as an instructor at Achieve Tahoe's winter program. (I also volunteer during the summer at their summer program). It has become a labor of love and something that I looked forward to with the approach of every winter. Helping participants progress, and perhaps more importantly gain independence and have fun, is incredibly rewarding. The full time staff and interns who work at Achieve Tahoe are, honestly, some of the brightest, kindest and most talented people I have ever known. They make me strive constantly to improve my own skills, while I am humbled by theirs. Many of our participants face a litany of challenges in their daily lives and to see them enjoying our mountain environment, even if only for a day, makes whatever small effort I make worthwhile.
