The Maine Professional Drivers Association got involved with Camp Sunshine in 1998 and has worked with the South Portland Lions Clubs to raise funds each year by holding a Trucking for Kids Convoy. Over that period many truck drivers have volunteered their time and raised over $185,000 for the Camp. This has given many kids the opportunity to attend and get all the great benefits that the Camp provides for those who really need it. Once you see what the kids get out of this camp and what it accomplishes, you find it very easy to give of your time and treasure to help them accomplish their goal.
