Review for Least Of These Ministries Inc, Keymar, MD, USA
The Least of These Ministries is a Christian Based Ministry . WE wee called to feed the hungry and starving Haitian field workers living and working is the Dominican Republic. These workers have little or no income with witch to buy food. Until The Least of These started this feeding ministry many of the children died several days after birth do to starvation. This was because their mothers were too malnursishen to provide milk to feed the babies.
The Least of These Ministries does not make the people dependent on them for all their food. Instead the Ministry gives one cup of rice and one half cup of beans each week to every member of the family. This is enough food to devide and feed the family for twqo or three meals. Currently this food is given to over seven thousand people living in eight villages, called Bateys, in the south eastern portion of the Dominican Republic. Since this feding program was started the infant death rate has gone down about twenty percent. There are about five thousand people in other Bateys that the Ministry can not feed do to a lack of funding.
the Least of These Ministries is a Non Profit 501 (c) 3 regestered in both the U.sA. and dominican Republic. In the U.S. there are no paid staff. All are volunteers. In the Dominican Reupblic there are Three employees who purchase, store, deliver and distribute the food.
Currently ninty two cents from every dollar donated goes to the Dominican Republic for the work there.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
personally visiting all eight Bateys and handing food to the hungry. There is nothing more rewarding than to look the recipient of the food in the eye and feel the thanks for what I have done. Sitting on the back of that truck and handing out food makes you realize that you may have saved someone's life or at least changed it that day. Thank you Jesus for the opportunity to serve.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
find a way to raise more funds to feed more people.
