Chasing Dreams would be the perfect candidate for this grant because they help the ones who need it most, those with extraordinary needs. They service a vast array of special needs children and young adults from all over Indiana and Illinois. This charity is very near and dear to my heart as I have a cousin with Down syndrome and has been in the special olympics. My parents donate so much of their time to help enrich these children’s lives with new skills and tasks. The love I see in these children and young adults eyes when they see staff members or when they go to their prom or other events made just for them is something I don’t think I could ever forget. My wife and I live down in Evansville and make going to their events a priority. They teach fine motor skills, day to day tasks, art and have speech therapy and other services that they provide at NO COST to the families. The only thing they ever ask is for the families to donate time to volunteer at events. Chasing Dreams deserves this grant so they can continue to service the children and young adults with extraordinary needs.
