The Wolf Conservation Center offers children and families comprehensive and highly accessible education on wolves, their importance to the ecosystems, their habits and behaviors.

This was critical to my students when I taught third grade in the South Bronx. Each year over my teaching career my students researched and wrote non-fiction reports on wolves. Then we would visit the Ambassador wolves at the Wolf Conservation Center. This visit provided my students and their parents the opportunity to observe the wolves' behaviors, interactions and their physical attributes, which they had studied and written about.

This was an exceptional experience for many of my students and their families. Our visit engaged students' engagement and sparked their interest in Science and in the world around them.

Since I have retired I have been fortunate to volunteer often with the WCC and have witnessed the excitement of families and groups who attend our programs. This work makes a huge difference in people's understanding of wolves, their importance to maintaining a healthy balance in the environments where wolves live. The Wolf Conservation Center plays a critical role in education and advocacy on behalf of wolves and their survival.
