Review for KIDS KICKING CANCER INC, Southfield, MI, USA
In 2008 I was introduced to Kids Kicking Cancer because my daughter Sara was diagnosed with leukemia. They showed us that we are not alone and they helped us through some very tough battles. They found ways to let her be a kid and feel “normal” by being surrounded by other families going through the same obstacles. It was also very nice to not have to worry as they took extra care to make sure she would be safe and protected while having no immune system. They brought so much fun back into our lives and made it possible for us to do things, we otherwise, would have never done. In 2018 I was introduced to little heroes shortly after my son Ryan was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. As they were explaining what it was I had a moment when I realized this was Kids Kicking Cancer and I just cried. Happy tears knowing that they would have our back and that we would be okay! Kids Kickin Cancer had become little heroes to include other and all kids who continually have to fight for their lives. They gave Sara and Ryan the tools to get through some of the most painful treatments. Also I must mention that they include Katie, my middle child, in all activities and classes. They have taught all three of my children how to manage and cope with pain, stress, anxiety and overwhelming emotions that occur at any given moment or situation in their lives. I’ve even caught myself needing a power breathing moment a time or two! I absolutely love each and every person who make Kids Kickin Cancer (little heroes) possible for all our children. I do not know where we would be today without them. Emotionally, physically and financially they have helped my entire family and we will be forever grateful for Kids Kickin Cancer! Thank you!
