We absolutely love Kids Kicking Cancer. I'm so glad we found them. The staff are all friendly, compassionate, patient and helpful. The programs and offerings are all inclusive and amazing. My 7 year old daughter has a lot of disabilities due to multiple brain surgeries. We can always find activities to keep her involved thru KKC... whether it is hanging out in a suite with Paws at a Tigers game, riding the horses 20 times on farm day, weekly virtual arts and crafts over the summer quarantine, private Cranbrook Science visits or holiday parties. We have loved every event we have been to and there's never a cost for us to participate. In addition to the extras, the overall goal of teaching my daughter karate (which is great physical therapy) while simultaneously teaching her relaxation techniques is such a wonderful thing. She uses the deep breathing techniques during medical procedures and other times of anxiety. The ability to have private lessons in our home (even virtual during pandemic) has been a lifesaver, literally. KKC is an amazing organization that provides support services of all kinds for the entire family and we are so happy to be part of their family.
