I came across Travis Manion Foundation at Marine Corp Marathon
expo in 2014. I remembered reading about Travis and Brendan in Parade Magazine. I started following the TMF Facebook page and they were looking for race directors for 9/11 Heroes Run so I became one and started the only one in The State of Alabama in Athens, Al. I have been involved with several Operation Legacies in our area and have ran the Marine Corp Marathon in 2017 and 2019 for TMF. I BeLieve in this Foundation so much that they are the #1 Charity that I donate to. Everyone at TMF treats you with so much respect and shows you how much they care about you and appreciate what you do although that is not why I do it. I do it to honor all our fallen and their families, veterans and military. I love “If not me, than who...” ethos. If everyone lived by this motto the world would be a better place.
