I have had birds in my life for at least 25 years. 20 years ago my friend had no option but to surrender her African Grey parrot. I met Sandi, the founder of Feathered Friends Sanctuary & Rescue that day. I knew that day that once I could find the time, I would do whatever I could for this amazing non-profit.
Fast forward 20 years - I have been volunteering for five years, have adopted three birds, and have been on the board of directors for three years. This is an outstanding non-profit that I am proud to be a part of.

I started volunteering with Feathered Friends Sanctuary and Rescue over three years ago. I have found them to be extremely knowledgeable. They also do all the right things in pet bird care and keep up with new developments in the “parrot world”. The birds come first here.
