Circle Legacy of Lancaster County, PA is a beacon for people desiring more information on the Native American culture and history. CLC provides workshops, lectures and events to showcase the local Native American culture, plus aids the community in a respectful communion of various backgrounds. Currently, Circle Legacy and Blue Rock Heritage Center is partnering to recreate an early woodland village and Interpretative area. A perfect location since major Susquehannock and Shenks Ferry Villages were located within Washington Boro limits and the area has documented archaeological sites to add to our concept of how prehistoric and historic Indigenous peoples lived. Circle Legacy directors, educators and volunteers , along with Blue Rock Heritage Center will make history come alive. I have had the pleasure of working with Circle Legacy in the capacity of an advisory for the past five years. Listening to Native Americans tell their family stories, preserve their ancient arts and share their future goals has been an honor for me. This relationship has been one of utmost respect and nurturing. We have great plans in store and hope that the local communities of both Lancaster and York will support our efforts in educating and preservation Native American lifeways.
