Born and raised in Denver, CO my family spent many days on picnic excursions in the foothills west of Denver. A majority of the area had a few summer cabins but mostly open spaces. As time passed and the population grew homes and businesses slowly crept into the area until it seemed as though every parcel of land was being developed. By chance I met the president of MALT at the Conifer Wendy's 4 years ago and was intrigued. Although a MALT contributor I had little knowledge of the extensive background of the board and staff and their commitment to preserving undeveloped land, ranches and historic places in this beautiful area. I received a personal invitation to the "Night in the Park" fundraiser that summer and as a result have included MALT in my trust. MALT continues to be successful in preserving these lands where I grew up and I am happy to live in a community that supports their mission to protect the natural beauty that I love for future generations.
