Children do not ask to be born - and, certainly shouldn't have to go hungry or even worry about when they're going to eat again. Citrus County Blessings recognizes that hungry children often have difficulty focusing in school which could greatly affect their academics and subsequently their ability to pursue higher education or even get a job. This tends to be a socioeconomic circle - and Blessings is trying to break it. Blessings provides food for the weekends, holidays and summer months. The staff, directors, board members and volunteers are a big-hearted, loving group.
