Review for Homefront Inc, Lawrenceville, NJ, USA
I moved to Mercer County in 1998 and learned about HomeFront through my daughters girl scout troop. This local charity provides temporary shelter to homeless people and what I liked most about the organization was that HomeFront works with a family to provide them with all their needs such as temporary housing and then transitions them to permanent housing. They also help people find jobs, prepare for interviews, provide food, provide clothing, provide daycare and camp for children so that they have a safe environment to be in during the day. My entire family volunteers throughout the year to help HomeFront raise money, we donate household items, clothes, holiday gifts, backpacks and most importantly my oldest daughter helps raise over $1000.00 each year to support a room at The Preservation Center at HomeFront which is one of the facilities that provides temporary housing for families. I see the amazing efforts of this organization every day and applaud their dedication and it gives me such pleasure to be able to see so many local families get the help they need to succeed and to transition to be able to be independent rather than always relying on others to help.
