For the last several years, I have been a reader of scholarship applications by individuals on the spectrum. My father Edward Schwallie was a founding member of OAR years ago. My sister Cathy Farmer is a OAR board member. While my involvement is peripheral, I recognize the amazing benefit of scholarships that OAR provides many unique and talented people who may have not had other scholarship opportunities for higher education. I've been impressed with the high standards of processes that OAR continually upholds to ensure communications, attention and support for the applicants. It's powerful and meaningful to read applications and then provide scholarships to these deserving individuals!
