As a Connecticut resident, Sandy Hook Promise is an organization that is close to my heart. I am so proud to have a national organization in my state that delivers violence prevention programs to youth and educators across the country. It is an honor to support an organization with such an extraordinary mission and vision. Sandy Hook Promise helps youth and adults reduce social isolation, builds inclusive communities, develops programs to prevent suicide, and encourages youth to say something to trusted adults when warning signs and threats are encountered. Impressively, Sandy Hook Promise is also cultivating generations of youth leaders and social justice advocates through its 3,000 SAVE Promise Clubs nationwide. Although this nonprofit arose out of a horrible tragedy, I am in awe of what it has achieved to date and look forward to future programs that confront the new challenges we are facing.
