Review for Yavapai Humane Trappers Animal Search And Rescue, Chino Valley, AZ, USA
2 1/2 months ago my wife fostered two 5 day old rescue puppies. I'm a 60 yr old disabled vet who has suffered from depression and PTSD for most of my adulthood. My wife is a saint. Everything was going great with the puppies and over time I developed a very close bond with the female. I loved her. My wife and son told me how I've changed since the fostering began. She was a miracle to me! Now I know how emotional support animals can greatly improve and broken person's life. I told Yavapai Humane Trappers all about it and that I wanted to adopt her. First I was told no, then they they would need to think about it. I was shocked. Think about what? When the pups turned 8 weeks old they told me no. I panicked, how could they say no? They KNOW how she helps me. I refused to give her back, they came with the police.
When I gave her back it destroyed me. This pup helped me in so many ways and I loved her. Yavapai Humane Trappers sent harassing text messages to my wife saying that I was a thief for keeping the dog and that I was using my disabled veteran status to steal. How absolutely ridiculous and offensive. She went on a tangent about me being a dumbass and on and on. She said the adoption is all about the dog, not the owner/parent. What a piece of work she is. My baby was adopted 3 days ago and they made sure to call my wife and happily tell her. They also said the new family didn't want their picture taken, which ALL new adoption families do. I wonder what she told them about me to scare them. They lied, they were cruel. My image of animal rescues has gone down the drain.
