I choose to volunteer with Organization for Autism Research when I learned about their "Kit for Kids" program. Through this program, I had the opportunity to teach school-aged children about Autism Spectrum Disorder in order to build acceptance and understanding. I believe that OAR is unique and innovative in their approach in serving the ASD community. I think it is important for kids at a young age to have dialogue about differences and "Kit for Kids" provides a safe platform to do just that.
