My Nonprofit Reviews

I was a SWB volunteer for the 2019-2020 school year at the Aurora, Colorado location. My role as coach was to help middle schoolers harness their soccer skills and to encourage and empower those feeling unaccepted or undervalued. I often engage these players on the side-line in conversation, assisting with homework as needed and building their confidence to help them adequately express themselves, increase their interaction with others and reach their full life potential. I can not say enough positive things about my experience. It was an incredibly supportive and inclusive environment and the program Coordinator, Laura Kranish, was absolutely amazing! It was very special and rewarding to see the sport I love transcend economic and cultural barriers, uniting people from all backgrounds.
