Review for Volunteers for Veterans Foundation, Fontana, CA, USA
For nearly 30 years these fine people have brought awareness to Veterans in need. With creative thinking and a passion for the classic car hobby An idea came to life of raising funds for the less fortunate. For the past 12 years I have been humbled to be a part of this organization. I have seen other board members work endless hours to make sure if there was A Veteran out of groceries they were there to make sure a fridge or pantry could be filled. If the power was cut off they were there to have that reconnection happen.
We have seen and were told that the Volunteers for Veterans Foundation was the last hope for any type of assistance. From Veterans we have seen tears for pleas for help to tears of joy for the help they received.
We have gone from helping the homeless Veteran get into a home to making it a home with some essentials. From beds, a box spring with a mattress to pots and pans.
We have partnered with Veteran only housing filling the needs of those residents. From filling their food pantry to having a giveaway day of toiletries, housewares and groceries.
From such a small group of volunteers there is so much given back to the Veteran in need. The simple words of THANK YOU that we hear so often mean so much to me. I don’t believe I can express how proud I am and the fulfillment that I feel from being a part of thE Volunteers for Veterans Foundation.
