Review for Covenant House, New York, NY, USA
Covenant House is a tremdous organization. I thought I had a good idea of what they do until I had a full tour of the NYC shelter. Then I realized how much I didn't know and HOW MUCH more they do than I could have every imagined! Covenant House helps kids get off of the streets by not only providing food and shelter but by teaching these young people skills that will last them a lifetime. Its one thing to provide shelter for those in need, its an entirely different thing to provide them with the tools to rebuild their lives and become better people. And don't forget the assistance they provide for babies the of homeless females who otherwise could be on the streets with a hungry baby.

I've been able to meet Covenant House residents who feel safe for the first time in their lives and alumni who are now working, supporting themselves and living in their own home.

hope they could provide shelter to more homeless youth in more cities around the US.
