I got connected to Xela Aid by friends who serve on the board. I am a sustainability professional with a focus on international waste and recycling and have been working in the field more than 25 years. I seen many efforts that work on community building and economic development in extremely vulnerable communities in Brazil, India, Peru, Colombia, and Mexico . Most initiatives start up and then fade out. The long term dedication of Xela Aid to build resilience from the ground up in the communities they serve are transformational. I have been incredibly impressed. This past year we began supporting the education of two young men and look forward to continuing to doing so.
