My Nonprofit Reviews

I have volunteered with Jubilee for 11 years with the first seven years as Chairman or the Education Committee. One of the most rewarding accomplishments was to see OM Roberts Elementary School move from being the second lowest performing schhool to being exemplary for the last two years. I tutored the children there for five years and felt a pride for the whole school. Working with the administration of the school, being an advocate for the children and for the school itself, and being a friend to the teachers and children was most rewarding. I am now on the Jubilee Board of Directors, have helped witn the Dedication of our two buildings and am in the process of working to raise funds for the programing in those buildings. Jubilee is in the stage of growing-up. In our teen years we must expand our Board, raise funds in new areas, and keep-up with our expanding programing. Working with Juhilee has been a very special part of my life and an opportunity to "give back" to the Community. It has given me special friends and a deeper understanding of people, needs, and cultural differences. The more I heap into it's basket, the greater the gifts I find in mine.
