I am a huge fan of the work and advocacy of ActionAid USA. Over the years, I have worked with them on a number of issue areas, including climate change/climate finance, debt issues, food security/agricultural issues and also on gender equality advocacy. I appreciate their fierce and determined stance to lift up the voices of those most powerless and very often marginalized, in particular local communities, women and Indigenous Peoples, all centered in a core human-rights framing, demanding justice, equity, fairness and decency -- actually all that you see way to little off in today's international governance structures, multilateral processes and at the most powerful international organizations, such as the IFIs.

I am writing this review on behalf of my organization,the Heinrich Boell Stiftung (hbs) Washington, DC, which over years has worked with CIEL, both as a cooperation partner on specific projects and campaigns, but also as a donor for efforts spearheaded by CIEL in a number of areas demanding specialized expertise and knowledge, including international trade policy,international climate negotiations and climate finance, fossil fuel divestment/plastics pollution, biodiversity or geoengineering.

As a cooperation partner, we highly value the collaboration with CIEL, as interaction is always constructive, laser-focused on problem-solving, while overcoming effectively any hurdles posed by either administrative stringencies or quick output deadlines. CIEL in all of our cooperations has proved to be a trusted partner, good to its promise and delivering on time while exceeding expectations in providing their expertise.

As a donor/financial contributor and supporter in the non-profits sector, we recognize and appreciate that CIEL and its dedicated and brilliant staff over-delivers in terms of "value for financial support provided", as CIEL -- often to their own detriment -- puts the cause way above compensatory considerations. Documentation and accounting for funding received is thorough and accurate. CIEL is a trusted partner meeting and has over the years in many ways far exceeded all of our expectations for collaboration and cooperation.
