At 32 weeks pregnant my water broke unexpectedly and I found myself in the hospital fearfully anticipating our baby girl’s arrival. When I delivered at 34 weeks, our baby girl was directly taken to the NICU where she spent the next two weeks in their care. Once I had been discharged from the hospital my family was offered the opportunity to stay at RMH at Deaconess. Words cannot express what this organization did for our family. They gave my whole family a place to stay so that we could spend both time with our older children and be near our new baby. The volunteers were encouraging and supportive and the other house members became like family. The burden of cooking or finding a meal in the midst of chaos was alleviated by the generosity of so many and this organization. We had a comfortable place to lay down after a long day. We had laundry facilities. We had everything we could have possibly needed. We will forever be grateful for all they did to support us.
