I am proud to be a Promise Leader with this amazing organization. I have long advocated for reasonable gun legislation. What attracted me to Sandy Hook promise is their deep commitment and understanding that gun violence is a multi faceted problem. They not only lobby for reasonable legislation, but also tackle core societal issues that lead to gun violence. This organization addresses mental health issues, youth alienation and bullying, and encourages young people to speak up. There is evidence that these programs have prevented school shootings.
