Many years ago when I learned about the work that The Eli Home was doing to help stop the cycle of abuse, I was eager to be a part of it in some way. During my teaching career, I observed too often how spousal and parental abuse disrupted students' efforts to get an education when they had to flee and hide to save their lives. It has been my pleasure to participate in a number of fundraising efforts where I could volunteer my time, talents, and money, as well as patronize the Eli Store. My greatest joy has been hearing the success stories of the parents and children who with Eli's help have gained the confidence, self-esteem, and skills to pursue their goals and create the lives of joy they deserve.~Flora M.
