Coffee County Rescue Squad is one of the best volunteer departments in the state. The members spend countless hours fund raising to provide emergency services to Coffee county, surrounding counties, and the state of TN. The number of members who respond alone is impressive, with a majority of the members cross trained in multiple specialty fields to provide the best emergency rescue efforts in a variety of situations and difficult locations. The equipment is top notch and they are always looking for the best and most advanced equipment to tackle any situation that may arise. These volunteers work full-time jobs and spend countless hours fund raising, training, and answering calls 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year just to serve the community. Their services comes at a price but not to those the serve, but by the amount of fundraising done throughout the year. Fundraising allows the squad to operate free to the public along with paying the bills, insurance, continuous training, maintenance of the vehicles and equipment, and also purchasing new equipment. Covid-19 in 2020 has taken a toll on annual fundraisers but the squad refuses to give up and keep finding new ways to work through the adversities to raise funds to keep serving the community they love with the highest call volume to date. I am proud, honored, and blessed to be a part of CCRS!!!
