The Kairos Prison Ministry program brings hope to a population that has learned to live without it. Through scripted programming and one-on-one personal interaction, volunteers are able to speak life into residents that are hungry for the message. The Kairos program creates leaders behind bars. I've seen those who stay quiet and keep their head down out of a sense of fear and survival come alive and blossom in the group setting. Subsequent visits tell us a story of a person stepping out in leadership and developing in faith and maturity. This program makes a difference to those who attend. And it makes a difference to the volunteers as well!
