Hello: I started out as a volunteer to assist the New Haven site six years and then started to lead the program four years ago. I have seen how the veterans benefit from being in the outdoors, exercising, and having great camaraderie with fellow veterans. They have entered races and enjoyed kayaking in a few different locations. There is great socializing as they enjoy the barbecue after kayaking. The program has great physical as well as mental health benefits. I enjoy working in the program and meeting new veterans who join our group. Claire Callan
