Global Volunteers is a wonderful non-profit volunteer organization that works in the US and throughout the world. I have volunteered with them four times so far in the US as well as the Cook Islands, Romania and Peru. Each experience has been unique and uplifting. The focus is clearly on supporting the people, especially the children, in the local communities. The teams are well-received in every community. The children and community members are delightful and appreciative of the volunteers. I feel that I get so much more from these experiences than I give. I highly recommend volunteering with this wonderful organization.
