We had been looking for a playmate for our active 10 yr old lab mix and had previously used Lab Rescue so they were a perfect choice. Finding a dog during this pandemic has not been easy, but they assigned Amy to work with us-she was great! She listened to our needs and encouraged us to meet and greet alot of dogs to seek compatibility. She has a keen sense about dogs and owners. We met many dogs and when discouraged she encouraged us saying you will find a dog! We did not want a puppy initially and had only been looking for 2yrs and older dogs. Amy contacted us about a 5 mo old puppy and said you really should meet him. Guess what? it was a match! Our dog LOVED the puppy and this shy puppy who had also met other dogs unsuccessfully started playing, rolling over and encouraging our dog to frolic. It was so wonderful to see. Both dogs hit it off great. We went home that day with Asher! Dewey and Asher are now best buddies-they play, roam the yard and have bonded so well. It's amazing. I highly encourage anyone looking for a lab/lab mix to reach out to Lab Rescue. They are a wonderful organization that really cares for the dogs they rescue and making that perfect family match. Thank you Amy and Lab Rescue for letting us provide Asher his forever home!!!
