Pediatric cancer diagnoses are often scary and isolating! After being denied assistance from 7 other organizations, we were so lucky and blessed to find Gabriella's Smile Foundation. We met with Gabriella's family, the founders of GSF, learned how GSF was started and had an opportunity to learn about other families experiencing similar circumstances and diagnosis. GSF is a San Antonio local organization that serves families battling pediatric cancers nationwide and offers educational and financial resources and information, volunteer and community educational opportunities, and I especially loved the down to earth conversations for family check-ins. We received assistance for medical and travel expenses for treatment, back to school supplies, and a Christmas gift for my warrior-we are so humbled for all GSF does and I am looking forward to opportunities to 'give back' to an organization that gives so much!
