I moved to the Bay Area last year and was feeling really homesick and did not have much to do. This was when I came across the initiatives of Community Seva and was astounded by the work they do.

I volunteered thinking to attend one session of preparing lunch for one of the shelter homes and I can say that neither did I never look back, but I was completely exhilarated. The community had all the items ready to make and prepare the perfect lunch for the shelter home, and when I got there, we got into full swing. I never knew that something so generous could be done so fast, without even seeing time go by. In less than an hour, we catered a lunch for more than a hundred people, and this included around seven to eight dishes, alongside sweets and refreshment kits.

To see the joy in the eyes of the people living in the shelter homes was profound and ecstatic. I never looked back and did my best to attend more sessions that not only made a good day's work, but also seeing so many people happy, is something I could have never imagined, and it truly makes me happy to be a part of this organization that goes above and beyond in bringing a smile to thousands of faces.
